Vending Machine Novice

The first time I used a vending machine, it dispensed the wrong snack (my fault) and i forgot, or rather didn’t know how to get my change out of it. This still hurts. Lol

If you still don’t know how to use a vending machine, watch the video below. Thank me later.

A vending machine is a machine that dispenses items such as snacks, drinks or cigarettes to customers automatically, after the customer inserts a coin or token into the machine.

The Very Expensive Tacos.

While I think of more hilarious moments to share, i’d love to share this again. It was originally published in our post ‘Food Adventures. If you missed it, read here.

Prior to this experience, I never ate tacos. If you are familiar with the Telenovela, “Husband for Hire”, then you would be able to confirm that the large portion of tacos they use to deceive us on TV is nothing compared to the reality you are about to witness.

I got back from a 3 hour walking tour in New York City and was very hungry. I passed by this Tacos Bar on my way out and promised myself I would stop by on my way back to my hotel room and I did. I looked through the menu, though confused, I opted for the “Moroccan Lamb on Roti with Cucumber Pico de Gallo and Crema”… okay! The menu said “3 per order” so I adjusted my belt ready to devour 3 “large” portion of tacos. Then my food arrived. Brothers and Sisters, this is what I saw…

Now, the story gets interesting… I was presented with the bill and I paid with my naira debit card and received an instant debit alert from my bank for the total sum of N6,185.07.  Haaaaaaaaaa….. for these tacos??? They were not even half the size of the average “Nigerian meat-pie”. I developed instant migraine… not sure if it was from hunger or anger… Lol.

And yes I ate the tacos… how could I not? I devoured every piece while tricking my mind to believe they tasted great, I was hungry anyways.

Moral of the story… DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON TELEMUNDO!!!
