Further tips for UK visa application in Nigeria;
- Where your Bank Statement contains unusual deposits (such as a bonus from work, which is significantly higher than regular deposits on your account), you should provide an explanation as to the source of the funds. Use highlighter ink to identify inflow on your statement of account (such as salary deposits or any funds declared in your application form). You may attach a letter addressed to the High Commission explaining the source of any inflow not declared in your application form. You should be convincing.
- If you have a spouse, you stand a better chance of getting a visa if you apply together with your spouse. If you are single, then you must convince the UKVI that you have enough ties (ties here may refer to a job, family, business, assets…).
- You may attach documents that prove that you have assets in your country of residence or any other location. Since a physical interview (with the UKVI) may not be required, you should attach any document you consider necessary. It is better to provide too much than to provide too little. We discussed this extensively in our guide for a successful visa application. You should read the article before making your visa application.
- Because your travel history is very important, always make photocopies of previous visas, including the entry and exit stamps on your passport. Sometimes, most interviewers may be reluctant to go through the pages of your passport to see countries you have visited so you should not leave it to chance.
