Frequent Travelers have lots of stories to tell. Some of them are amazing, while others can be disturbing.
I landed Casablanca (CMN) Airport after a 9-hour flight from Rio de Janeiro and met security officials at the arrival hall.
Dude spoke Portuguese, and all I could fathom were the words “Brazil, Lagos”
Me: “English please.”
Dude screams: “your profession?”
Me: “Lawyer”🙄
He directed me to the walk-through metal detector while others were allowed to proceed to the transit area. After I went through the metal detector, a lady stepped out to conduct a cavity search on me.
Boy… she lifted my boobs and pressed against them, used two fingers to part my cleavage, rubbed my body all the way down to my “family area”, patted my pubic area with four fingers, dug her hands in between my thighs (high enough to feel my clits) and slid all the way down to my legs. 🙆🏻♀️🙀
Me 😳: Dear Lordttt, Wharris going on here???🙀🙆🏻♀️
After the cavity search, I was then subjected to a thorough search of my carry-on bag, and that made me furious.
I looked behind me and could only see people of color randomly selected to join the queue. Others were just directed to proceed to the transit area. I’m not one to play the racism card but that is what I clearly experienced.
I requested for an officer who could speak English and asked him if his searches were targeted at a certain category of persons. He pretended not to understand me & simply said the rest were in transit. I yelled, “I’m on transit too, brother!”
There remaineth no more to say. 🤦🏻♀️ My bags were searched, packed; I insisted that my items be neatly placed exactly as they were, prior to the search, and then I walked away.
Have you been subjected to an erotic cavity search before? Did you feel offended?
What’s the meaning of “those people are on transit” ? She is not suppose to sexually harass anyone in doing her job. Pls who can one report this to ? I have learnt that customs / immigration officers can be sued. I am beginning to think a lot of pervert hide under that role to act out
My dear, every human being deserves to be treated with dignity. I would consider following up on this, a complete waste of my time. When people decide to focus on stereotypes in a bid to curb crime, they blind themselves to the real issues and failure becomes inevitable.
This offense should be punishable by law! If you passed the body scanner then she didn’t have to pat you down.
Sorry.
Thank you.
