A Review of my Stay at TCC Ogere Resort & Conference Centre

Have you been to the TCC Ogere Resort & Conference Centre? Built 3 decades ago, this place still retains the perfect ambiance to rest, relax, celebrate and be productive. It has been a haven for blue chip companies, government organizations and other corporate organizations for many years. 

It is the perfect destination for corporate retreats, conferences, training workshops, family getaway or a memorable weekend with friends.

The rooms are decent and clean, the food is top notch, the staff are remarkably pleasant and the resort is massive, peaceful, well maintained with various recreational activities such as a quarter size olympic swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, 9 hole mini golf course, table tennis bay, football pitch, gymnasium, squash court and a TV room.

No other place provides the kind of ambiance the resort offers.

The Reception

The TCC Ogere is sited on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, 65km from Lagos, 60km from Ibadan, 42km from Abeokuta and 36km from Ijebu-Ode. My road trip from Lagos to TCC Ogere took 55minutes.

The Room

There are up to 200 rooms on site made up of single rooms, double rooms, and suites. The accommodation style at TCC Ogere is unique and beautiful. Each building has a unique name and a beautiful lush garden in the center with all rooms facing the garden.

I stayed in the suite in Scott house and it felt like home. The room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed.

The Restaurant

The on-site restaurant is one of the largest I have seen. It features beautiful paintings by Bruce Prins and is arranged to provide great opportunities for team bonding.

Conference/Meeting rooms

There are up to 6 conference and meetings rooms with equipment, projectors, and speakers available at the TCC Ogere. The conference room can accommodate 300 persons while the meeting rooms can take 12 to 50 people, depending on the seating arrangement.

The Swimming Pool

The TCC Ogere has a gorgeous swimming pool area with a quarter size Olympic swimming pool. Barbecue can also be arranged in this area.

Final Thoughts on TCC Ogere

Pros

• The resort is perfect for a destination wedding. There is a chapel on site.
• The resort is massive and well maintained.
• The WiFi was good. It is complimentary and available in all areas.
• The food was remarkable.

Cons:

• The potential con for me would be the drive from Lagos to Ogere. This can be remedied by departing early to avoid the traffic. The total traveling time from my home to the resort took an average of one hour, fifteen minutes so this wasn’t a bad experience. The resort is sited 55 minutes from Berger, Lagos, and 15minutes from the Redemption Camp.
