Beit Johkdar: 19th Century Saudi Home Converted To Hotel

While exploring Al Balad, the historic old town of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I visited Beit Johkdar, a charming boutique hotel housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building.

Originally a family home, this architectural gem has been thoughtfully converted into a cozy hotel with just nine rooms, offering a unique and intimate experience.

The traditional Hijazi design and attention to detail throughout the property reflect the rich cultural heritage of the area, making it an inviting retreat within the bustling heart of Jeddah’s old town.

Beit Johkdar has a royal suite with a steam room (in its original form) which costs $5,000 for a night stay.

Would you pay $5,000 to stay here?
